Cologne and Copenhagen, April 5, 2016 – EVO, leading acquirer and provider of payment services in North America and Europe, and AEVI, provider of global face-to-face payment solutions and marketplace for B2B apps, today announced a strategic platinum partnership, which is set to enhance EVO's access to the entire European market and improve the company's product and service range.
AEVI becomes part of EVO's merchant offering. The sophisticated payment processing system of AEVI enhances EVO's portfolio as it solves central problems that merchants, banks and independent ATM operators face in their day-to-day business. AEVI's end-to-end solution processes payments on any device over all channels, borders and currencies via a single access. This is a flexible, integrated system that offers modern features and efficiency advantages for cross-border payments while adapting to the existing infrastructure and preferences of merchants. The payment solution from AEVI is suitable for the entire customer life-cycle – from banks to merchants, right through to the face-to-face purchase process for the end consumer. This is made possible by the efficient B2B "Marketplace" app from AEVI.
Non-bank players are continuing to enter the payment market and offer consumers and merchants easier payment solutions, but, as a subsidiary of Wincor Nixdorf, AEVI can draw on its tradition in the payment industry to confront this competition. AEVI blends proven expertise and experience with its own future-oriented strategies and technologies to provide unique products. In doing so, the company is acting as strong competition to non-banks, and bringing banks and acquirers back into the race in the payment market.
AEVI works in cooperation with banks and merchant acquirers, who sell the AEVI solution directly to merchants. EVO chose AEVI because of the innovative, trustworthy solution, which enables better face-to-face payment for all parties involved. Hans Langenhuizen, Sales & Marketing Director, AEVI, explains: "Together, we will overcome the obstacles of complex integration, regulation and certification."
"The provision of leading-edge solutions is a central goal of EVO", explains Nicole Mantow, General Manager, EVO Deutschland. "Therefore, we are delighted about the collaboration with AEVI, which will enrich the European market with such an innovative and reliable payment solution."
In the entire European market, EVO will offer merchants, independent sales organizations, financial institutions, public authorities and multinational corporations the AEVI solution and therefore access to a hardware-independent, fully integrated and consistent portfolio of white label solutions that expands the cross-border product range with the support and processing of pan-European face-to-face payment transactions. The AEVI solution gives EVO merchants who operate several channels across international borders the opportunity to consolidate business transactions and – via traditional or mobile payment methods – integrate them into one simple payment processing system.
